"We had Christmas-lunch at Liberty. It really took all the hassle out of Christmas. Good selection of food. The service (especially bar) was a bit slow, but then, there was a lot of guests to accommodate.... Lindsay was an absolute star, very quick to answer any question and request. She gets 5+ stars!"

"From the moment I arrived, the experience was nothing short of remarkable. I was warmly welcomed and personally seated by the chef himself, which immediately set the tone for the evening. The staff were attentive and professional, ensuring my order was taken with care. I opted for a freshly made pasta along with two starters – hot honey halloumi and baby squid calamari. The presentation of each dish was exquisite; you could clearly see the level of detail and artistry that went into plating. The calamari was especially impressive – its aroma reached the table before the plate did, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch and tenderness. The hot honey halloumi balanced sweetness and savoury notes beautifully, while the pasta was undeniably fresh, rich, and full of flavour – you could tell it was crafted with skill rather than from a packet. What stood out most was the consistent Michelin-level standard throughout the meal. Every bite was layered with depth and balance, elevating familiar dishes into something truly special. The finesse in flavour pairing, combined with presentation and service, is exactly what Michelin looks for – creativity, mastery of technique, and consistency at the highest level. This was not just a dinner, but a culinary experience. Hilton hotel Cape Town is extremely lucky to have this on site, clearly raised the bar, and I will certainly be nominating this restaurant for Michelin recognition. It is rare to find hotel dining executed with this much passion, precision, and flair – a true standout in Cape Town’s food scene."

"If you’re looking for date night or girls dine out options, I’d highly recommend Liberty’s Restaurant! As if the elegant, sophisticated interior of Liberty's Restaurant at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town isn’t enough, wait until you’ve tasted the food and cocktails! Executive Chef Simon made sure he sent our tastebuds on a culinary adventure of note with his delectable dishes. Our pick from the winter menu was: The Potato & mustard seed samosas with Homemade pineapple chutney and the Creamy Ouzo & fennel mussels with Char grilled bruschetta for starters. Our mains were Teriyaki braised beef short rib with Roast sweet potato pure, cashew & sesame dukkha, honeyed baby carrots and hubby opted for the 180g Beef Fillet with a side of vegetables. No meal is complete without dessert and we ordered the delicious New York Cheesecake to share. And I didn’t even mention the yummy cocktail menu yet!"

"I love Liberty's restuarant at Double Tree Hilton Inn. The staff are friendly and professional and quick at giving service. Their breakfast is also a full of variety from veggie diets to beef lovers. And those who have a sweet tooth, you will love it. Their food is so tasty too and check out their main bar which has good margaritas Definitely loved dining here."
